Jews Who Rock
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, much of the rock and roll songbook was written/produced in The Brill Building (New York) by a bunch of Jewish teenagers who were not that much older than the audiences for whom they were writing. This talk looks at the contributions of Phil Spector, Burt Baccarach, Carol King, Neil Sedaka, Cynthia Weil, Gerry Goffin, and others.
